My name is Mario. I’m a self-employed full stack developer from Germany. And at the time of writing this, I’m 42 years old and work in the IT industry since more than 20 years.
The first computer I did get from my parents, at the age of 14 was a 486DX2-80 with 4MB RAM and a 512MB HDD. And what did I do with it? I immediately took it apart, to see what’s inside and how it works.
Computers, their software and how everything works together has always fascinated me. And so I turned my hobby into my profession over 20 years ago.
Since 2014 I’m discovering the world of trading, investing and crypto currencies. It is an interesting, fun and exciting world. Filled with a whole variety of people and characters. And – of course – I also made lots of mistakes and learned many things the hard way, especially that there is no “Get Rich Quick”. The ocean is filled with sharks and you always need to be mindful, when it comes to money.
About this Project
The idea for this project was born from the desire to be able to use my existing USDT to cost average in to crypto assets.
Before that, I was using a different service for a while. But they didn’t offer to use existing USDT or EURS assets for creating savings plans, only debitting the bank account or credit card. In fact – as far as I know – there is no other provider which offers to use your existing funds, stable coins or crypto assets to create recurring savings plans. All other services only allow to use your bank account or credit card.
So I created a Cron script that I used for a while, to purchase crypto assets with USDT at regular intervals. Basically a script based savings plan, without any features.
I liked the idea to have a small web-based interface to manage my savings plans with a GUI, a history and a purchase and performance chart. Thus I started creating avrg.in in February 2022 as a hobby project.
